I just wanted to draw your attention to a very special performance that the Quartet of Happiness will be doing Tuesday, June 14th at Scullers Jazz Club in Boston. This show will celebrate the 1 year anniversary of our fund-raising campaign “JazzSmiles”. The purpose of JazzSmiles is to raise money to help fund QOH performances at schools that might not otherwise have the resources to do so. Here are the details:

Hmmm...almost a year has passed since my last blog and every time I keep telling myself that I’m going to stay up-to-date....Obviously that isn’t really happening but I’m going to keep working at it! I do try to keep my gigs up-to-date so keep checking that link out. As for other news, my good friend Dan Rosenthal’s new album, “Lines”, is all finished and he’ll be planning an official CD release show soon. In the meantime, we’ll be playing a pre-release show on St. Patty’s Day at the Outpost in Cambridge, so come celebrate w/ us if you’re in the area!
The Quartet of Happiness has been quite busy as well. We’re gearing up for a return meeting with the Ayn Inserto Jazz Orchestra on Saturday, March 19th at the Lily Pad in Cambridge. I’m really excited for this show as it will feature at least one new QOH big band chart, as well as many other Ayn Inserto/QOH originals!
