Check out this link to a new sax quartet I’m proud to be a member of, the Composers Saxophone Quartet! The group was formed in August of 2011 by Kathy Olson and plays all original compositions/arrangements by local composers. I’ve tried my hand at writing a few quartet arrangements and it’s been a great experience so far (my tune “School Stone Rock” and Moondog’s “Birds Lament"). Hey everyone,
I just wanted to draw your attention to a very special performance that the Quartet of Happiness will be doing Tuesday, June 14th at Scullers Jazz Club in Boston. This show will celebrate the 1 year anniversary of our fund-raising campaign “JazzSmiles”. The purpose of JazzSmiles is to raise money to help fund QOH performances at schools that might not otherwise have the resources to do so. Here are the details:
